Hello from Tokyo where we walked a million miles on our 2Nd day of adventure. We discovered that toilets are musical here. Music plays as soon as you sit down so that no one can hear what you are doing!
We visited downtown Tokyo today with Gucci, Prada and Louis Vutton. Very pricey district to shop in. We also went to the Ueno market by our hotel where Laura bought some souvenirs-trust me, this is not the place to shop if you want to get a deal as there are none!
Weather was very overcast today, but warm and muggy. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 20 degrees, sunny with clouds.
Had sushi for dinner from the local grocery store. Sushi is very expensive here when eating in a restaurant. Most all Japanese food we've eaten so far is very fishy tasting. Today we ate buffet lunch from the 49 floor of a very tall building. We had a super view of the city, the food was good and the cost was quite reasonable.
Tomorrow we go to the Imperial Palace and will try to ride a train out of town to see some non-city sights.
Time to put my feet up to rest.

I'm thinking that the term "tinkle" must have come from Japan with all this "musical toilet" stuff!! It sounds like you re having a great time. I hope that yoyu've managed to have a train ride to see some more of the sights. You are going to enjoy "WalMart price tags" when you get home!! Take care and have fun. I was by your house last night and all looked well....Doug's boat and truck were still there! Toodles and love, Mom/Grandma xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSinging toilets?! I'm amazed. The Japanese are just SO far ahead of us. Enjoy your sushi,
