We're here

We are here in Tokyo!!!!!!!! We got in last night and got our hotel and then caught the train here. The train ride was an hour and 17 minutes, the airport is out a ways. We are staying at the New Izu Hotel Tokyo. We have a room with three single beds and a bathroom. It is the worlds smallest and weirdest hotel bathroom. The toilet not only had the french but washing thing but it has a but mist and a seat warmer. Had to turn that last one off, it was too weird. We also have three kimonos and weird slippers.

When we landed in Narita airport the quarantine control people came on the plane all dressed in plastic suits and boots and masks and goggles. They took the temperatures using thermos-graphics sensors and then they collected the papers that we had to fill out saying if we were sick at all. After that we went into the airport and went through customs and them straight to the hotel booking agency. Lots of the people speak like one word of English but at of the workers at the airport were like multi lingual.

by the way it is like 8:27 am here not yesterday.

You are not missing much for weather. thursday was not bad but clouded in after awhile. Tiday, Friday, was great to wake up to but is blowing, cold and cloudy now. Rain is expected through until Monday. It is now 5:35 PM Friday our time. Weird eh? Toodles for now. Love Grandma
